The Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) Program Open Season begins Monday, Nov. 8th, and will close on Monday, Dec. 13, 2021. During this period, you will have the opportunity to review the 2022 rates and benefits to enroll, or make changes to your existing health care coverage. Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) Program

New In plan year 2022, the employer contribution rate for FEHB plans has equalized across all postal labor unions and management associations. Non-Postal, Category 1, and Category 2 no longer exist and are now classified as Premium Rates. As such; FEHB eligible career USPS employees will fall under the same rate category for 2022 called Premium Rates. These premiums do not apply to USPS non-career employees or to USPS Annuitants.

Eligible, active postal employees have multiple ways to make changes or enroll:

  1. Use your home computer, tablet or smartphone and click on the this link liteblue.usps.gov. You will need your eight digit employee ID number. This number is located on your earnings statement, above the words “Employee ID,” or on your time badge at your office. You will also need your USPS PIN. This would be the same number you use to access PostalEASE.
  2. The Blue Page (Intranet) at work.
  3. PostalEASE by telephone. You can call 877-4PS-EASE or 877-477-3273 and enter Option 1.

Eligible annuitants and retirees can enroll by calling Employee Express at 800-332-9798, by clicking the provided link, retireefehb.opm.gov ,which is OPM’s Open Season website. A Standard 2809 can be submitted to your retirement office.
